Year End

Well, it's almost here, 2010!! Time goes so fast that it's hard to keep up or finish what you planned. You want to do this & that but it slips away because other things come up. NEXT YEAR!

Had a good holiday. Had my family over christmas eve & went to Lori's sisters on christmas day. Full of food & fun now it's time to relaxe. Jody called christmas day which was really great to hear from her. Been some trying times but sounds like everything is working out for all. All of our love goes to all of them! We all move on with lifes little adventures. Tommorrows another day.

Didn't get the storm they said we would. Got some rain, sleet & abit of snow but nothing like we could have got. The sun is out now but temps are suppose to get back to more normal starting next week. Mid to upper teens & 20's. We'll take it over the storms!

Not much else here. I fixed the kitchen cabinet doors, got new livingroom chairs & waiting for the estamite on the clock. He said it would be a couple of months but no matter what, it has to be fixed. To much sentimental feelings behind it.

The End Is Near

2009 is almost over. Can't believe where the time went! Soon we'll have to rememer to write 2010. Time just goes to fast & we loose track of events & things. Can't do much about it.

With the help of some from work, I got the company float done & we were in the Chippewa Falls parade saturday night. Was really alot of fun!!!!! That's all everyone that was there talked about today (monday). Plans are already underway for next year. Did this were I worked in Texas but I think this one was more fun. People watching were 6 to 10 deep on the sidewalk. Great time.

Got the snowblower out of the shed & into the garage after work today. Made sure everything is working ok as we are suppose to get anywhere from 2-8 inches of snow between tuesday afternoon & wednesday. Not crazy about this stuff but it is Wisconsin. Still wonder why weever moved back from down south. Guess family means more than weather.

Another Gone!

Another month flew buy. Just doesn't seem right but then again, what do you do?

Hoping for one more ride before I have to put the bike up for the winter. Today is nice but awful windy so maybe I'll get a day later. Can always hope!!

Not much here going on. Finnally getting some weekends where nothing is going on & can get some stuff done around the house. Trent stopped last night as "CAPTAIN AMERICA". He's always alot of fun. He wouldn't listen to grampa about dog poop & stepped in some. Jenni wasn't happy but was cool about it. What do you do? With all the leaves on the ground I don't find it all.

BEEN A BIT

Been a while since the last entry. Had a company party a week ago saturday. Won a $50.00 gas card & some nice patio furnature. It was alot of fun too.
Not much here. Got the bike out last sunday for a ride. Little windy but felt good. Been preaty much home bound as the weather has been kind of s_ _ _ _ y. Also got an x-rated parrot at the party. Walk by him & he gets pretty nasty. Good thing he's a toy & not real!
Got all the lawn furniture put away last weekend. Gotta mulch the leaves in a week or two.

WEEKEND OF 19th

Went with some friends to the Tomahawk Fall Ride. Had a blast! So many Harleys, you couldn't count them. Rented an apartment above a bar in the middle of the main street. Had a garage in back to put our bikes in.

Toured the Harley factory. They make farings, windshields, saddle bags & side cars. After the tour, the State Patrol put on an exabition of how they can handle their Harleys. Both were well worth seeing. Saturday, after the tour, we took a 30 mile ride north to the Northern Lights Harley Dealer. Free lunch so was worth the ride. We took back roads back to Tomahawk. Beautiful country! Rode to some other sites then settled in for some light partying. The street is about 6-7 city blocks long & at 5:00pm it's bikes only & 2 Budweiser semis block each end & they have live music in each one. They call it "LITTLE STURGIS". Left here friday morning & came back sunday morning. Put on about 500+ miles. Felt good to be there but felt better once home. Great ride, nice people, no problems.

Labor Day Weekend

Summer is almost gone!! Went for a cycle ride sunday afternoon. Felt good. Not much traffic. The rest of the weekend was spent with chores.

Bought a Ping driver (golf) and a new golf bag. Get to try them out this saturday. Now I can finnally see all my clubs without searching. Don't go alot and not the greatest but now I look dam good when I miss the ball! Just having fun.

Finnally getting paid for the "clunkers" at work so now we get to blow them up. Kind of fun seeing how long they last before they seize up.

August Ends

My brother-in-law & myself went golfing saturday with some people I work with. Only played 9 holes & had a great time. He brought some more logs down for me so when I got home from golfing I split the wood. Paying for it today!

Not much here except for them coming down friday night. We had a bonfire & ordered pizza. They stayed the night & went back to the cities saturday afternoon.

Summer is winding down fast. Where did it go? This coming weekend is Labor Day already!! No plans as of yet.

HEY!!!!!

Another weekend gone. Lori & I went for a ride on the bike today. Great weather for a change! Brother-in-law Jerry is coming down this friday. We have a golf outing with people I work with so should be a good time. I've only been out once this year but I still have fun no matter what.
Not much new here. Another week with another to follow. This year is going way to fast! Got our new washer last weekend. Lori & I now fight as to who gets to do the wash! Sheltered lives!!!!!

Aug 16th

HAPPY B-DAY TYLER!!!!!

Been hot here this week. Took Jody for a cycle ride tuesday. She must have liked it cause the first word out of her mouth when we got back was "WOW". It made my day doing it & hearing that!

Not much here. Got a new washer yeasterday. After 20 years our other one took a dump. Went golfing yeasterday with some guys from work. First time for me this year & did'nt do to bad. Don't matter, I just do it for the fun.

Seems like everyone is doing well. Rainy & cool today here.

Another weekend flying by! Had the Wilson famley reunion saturday. It was nice to see those again & some new. Seidlers. Wilsons, Whitneys. It was nice!!
Not much here. Jody is coming home this wednesday (5th). Having a BBQ this sunday. Everyone there is doing well. Cash For Clunkers is doing great for work! Sold 80 cars last month. That's all the more work for parts & service. Great program if you qualify. Grab it if you can or tell your friends.
Guess that's it for now. Once the summer fades will have more to write but right now to much going on during the weekends.

Last One

This is it for this year. 3rd music fest this month & we're feeling it! All of them free admission but we had to pay for drinks & food this time. 1st was Country Fest, then Rock Fest (both with corp passes) then Country Jam. Still a good time!! Jenni was there along with Ann & friends. First time I partied with my daughter!!!!!!

Not much here. Jody is coming the 2nd week of August. Planing a BBQ & campfire that sunday. We built a fire pit in our back yard & my brother-in- law, Jerry, told me where to get free wood. Got a trailer load! Otherwise been warm, windy, cold, depends on the day & time. Not alot of riding weather but still got time although it's going fast.

July

Just finished another weekend of concerts. Got Corp tickets to thursday night at Rock Fest with Steve Miller Band. This coming friday got tickets to Country Jam. Will be glad when the fests are done!!

Built a fire pit in the back yard & went to the cities where my brother-in-law showed me where to get free wood. Split about a third of it this weekend & we have enough for maybe a couple years. When you split it there's more than what you think. Usually have 1 or 2 fires on the weekend. It's relaxing.

Not much else here. Work, home, concerts, etc.

Happy 4TH

So much going on these last couple weekends that I fell behind. Last weekend was the concert & this weekend we went to the cities cause Lori's sister from Colorado was there. Get to rest tommorrow! The last pic is meet & greet with Jason Aldien. Filets, lobster, crab legs & all the trimings. Front row, center stage. Don't get no better!!

Told most of you that we got corperate seating for George Strait on the 28th of this month. Should be a great time!

Changed the oil in the bike & went for a short ride today. It's a georgous day out & tommorrow is suppose to be the same so hopefully Lori & I can go for a ride.

Not much here right now. Usual household stuff. Seems like everyone is doing fine. Tyler is going into the "work force" after graduating. Times are tough & hope it all works out for him.

One more weekend

Another month gone! Time goes by to fast. Had a good ride last weekend but rain all this weekend. Showers now & suppose to go thru tommorrow night. Can't ride or do outside work so sit back & watch a movie. Lori went to the cities for the day so until she gets back guess I'll do stuff around the house. Boring huh!
Everyone here doing well & everyone else doing good also. Rock Fest & Country Fest coming this month. My work is a sponsor & I'm trying to get sponsor seating for George Strait. It's on a sunday night. Sponsor seating gets you front row, great food & free drinks. Got these seats for Sugerland last year.

End of May

Didn't get a chance to leave news last weekend. Went to the cities to watch Lori's niece finish a 12 mile marathon. Stopped at a local eatery & had lunch. Good time.

This weekend went on a cycle ride. Left here at 2:00pm & got back at 6:00pm. Good ride! Lots of curvey roads & then road along the Mississippi river. All the bluffs & river was great but sore butt by the time we got home. Not used to a 4 hour ride yet! Went with 3 other people so really enjoyed it. Now it's catch up on yard work I didn't do yeasterday!! Worth it.

Tyler graduated! Congrats to him & his future. Shane also moved on with his Army career. Wish him the greatest. Our prayers & thoughts are with him & the whole family. It's a good move & job security for all.

At this point, not much else here. Just another day in somebody's paradise!

Busy Weekend

Went & helped my brother-in-law, Jerry, in the cities put down a hard wood floor in his house saturday. Even though I'm hurting today it was fun & I owed him a favor any way as he came down & helped me with my shed. We scratched our heads alot at first but once we got going it was quick.
My brother, Dave, owns a Harley & was out for a ride last friday (5-08-09). A lady was talking on her cell phone & decided to change lanes without looking. She hit him, put on her brake then decided to leave. He has a broken femer, collar bone, several ribs, puntured lung & lacerated liver. Not life threatning but painful. We all wish him well. He should be home by monday to recover.
I have to cut the grass today so gotta get at it. Everybody take care.

MAY !!

Already May. Can't believe how time is going by.
Got a ride in today (saturday). A little windy & abit cold but made it a short one. The club bike blessing is tommorrow so hope the wind dies down as it would be nice out except for the wind. They have a Pastor bless you & your bike & then a "Shawmen" comes with an Indian blessing along with the smoke stick. Need all the help I can get!! We go for a ride after. Suppose to be nice. And yes Jody, you get a ride!!!!
Trees are doing good so far that I planted. Wait & see if they make it. Mowed the lawn for the first time today. It was a "John Deere" day!!!!!!
About it for now. Going to Mpls to help my brother-in-law tear up carpet & lay wood floor next weekend. He came down & helped with the shed so I owe him. I'd do it anyway.

Hi All

Here we are with another week. Got out to ride last saturday but this weekend has been nothing but rain. The yearly "Bike Blessing" is today but it's raining so it will be next sunday. Need all the help I can get! It was in the low 80's last friday but about 5:00, just before leaving work, a storm came through. Was going to take Lori on the bike but that ended that. Still early in the season but it goes by fast.
Not much news here. Refinanced on thursday & cut 1.5% off our intrest. Will never have it payed for anyway & if we can save monthly on the payment why not. Bought it below apprased value & still below that after refinance. We'll always be below market value on the loan.
Every body take care & I'll write something boring again next weekend.

Another Week

Got the bike out yesterday for the first time. Really felt great!!! Today it's raining but more days coming.
Not alot here. Got my trees in the ground last weekend. 3 of the 5 have buds on them. Water every day & hope they all make it. $48.00 for 5 trees on the net, if 3 make it, I'll be happy. I think the 2 need to get their roots going.
A guy I was in a band with years ago is playing this saturday. I know all the guys in this band so should be a good time. He was also in the van club I hung out with so a bunch of us are going.

Happy Easter

Got the trees planted. Hope they make it! Planted 5 of them so if 3 or more make it I'll be happy.
Sort of riding weather but with the trees & Easter may not get out this weekend. Busy planting yeasterday & going to family houses today. Suppose to be really nice from here on out so should be able to get out & ride.
Lori's cell phone took a dump so went to get new ones yeasterday. Still have the same numbers. Can't believe what a racket this has become. Oh Well!!

Still Waitng

Got about 3" of snow today. I know riding weather is coming but it doesn't have to keep teasing me!
As usual, not much going on here. Inlaws were down last weekend & had a good time with them. Shane is finnally moving on in his Army stint as his foot is much better. The guy deserves credit for pushing on.
Still just waiting for the weather to break so we can start riding. Bought 5 Popler trees but can't plant them yet. Should be able to get them in the ground next weekend.

Another One Down

Seems like the days & months fly by. Wish it would slow down so we can enjoy it.
Inlaws were down from the Cities yeasterday. Had a good time with them. Went shopping in the early afternoon, came back here & played some pool then went out to eat. Showed them my new table saw & they got mad because they don't have one. Bet they will soon though! Always wanted one cause I do projects & this makes it alot easier.
Waiting for it to get warmer out so we can go riding. Mid 40's now but still to much sand on the roads. Need a couple good rain showers to clean it up.

Another week

Bought a 10" table saw & put it togeather last weekend. Now just need a project to use it. Have projects, just have to do them!
Uncovered the bike & started it this weekend. Waiting for rain to clean the streets of sand & salt. Suppose to get some the first part of the week but then temps are suppose to drop. Time wil come!!
Not much here. Inlaws coming next weekend so should be a good time. Still to cold to go golfing so will probably end up shooting pool or something.

STILL ANOTHER WEEK!

Weather has been great this last week but Sunday we could get 1-3" & Tuesday possibility of getting dumped on. Oh well, that's Wisconsin!!

Just been doing the work thing. Lori got some "toys" for her stamp'n so she's been playing with that while I slave at cleaning the basement etc. Somebodys gotta do it! I enjoy the projects I come up with & more always seem to follow.

No news is good news & don't know of any to pass along at this point. Just waiting for the rain (to clean the streets) & warmer weather. It will be here & gone before we know it!

HAPPY MARCH!

Hopefully warmer riding weather coming. We got about 6" of snow friday but it's suppose to be in the 40's by this weekend. Just have to wait for some rain to wash the sand & salt off the road before the bike comes out.
Son-in-law Shane is still healing. Says it's getting better so we all wish him the best as we know this is an important move for my daughter & him. Army can be tough but we know he can do it!
Not much going on here. With the snow & chill outside I got my workshop & the basement cleaned up. Amazing what you keep!
Concert last weekend was great. Really had a good time with friends.

Went to the concert & dinner last night. Our friends told us of a new place in town & it was great food. It's called Stella Blues. Neat place!
Band played for almost 3 hours. The guy that played Keith Richards was really good. After the first 45 minutes, the people went up to the stage to stand & the band really started rocking then. GOOD TIME!
Guess family & friends are doing ok. Haven't heard anything to show different. We're still just plugging away & waiting for warmer weather. Got about 3" of snow between last night & today.
Wish I had more to tell you but it's been preaty quite around here as far as events.

CAN"T WAIT!!!!

Still another week. Temps are going up and then down so will be abit before we can get out and ride.
Shane is still in limbo as to weather he will heal or not. We know this is what he and Jody want so everybody wish him your best.
Richard is going back to work monday after having his belly button operated on. He seems to be doing good and no complications.
Going this friday to see "Satisfaction", a tribute to the Rolling Stones. It's a band that looks and sounds like the original (feel sorry for the guy who portrays Keith Richards). It's in Eau Claire so got tickets and invited some close friends to join us.
Not much else here. Just keeping on keeping on. Waiting for warmer weather to get outside for more projects.

Another week gone by & not much happening. The 20th of this month we're going to see a group that plays & looks like the Rolling Stones. Should be a good time!
Other than that, not much. First time in about 10 years, we're getting money back from taxes instead of paying in. Not much but it beats paying!!
Shane ( our son-in-law) is still doing his basic training with the army. Had some problems with his foot & hopefully it will all work out. Gotta give him credit for doing this.
Our excitment this week was uying a new mattress pad for our bed. Boring aren't we! My brother-in-law Richard had some minor surgary on thursday. His belly button was growing out. Found it was only fat & no tissue or organs involved so all went well.

Another Cold Month

Here's to one more month down the drain. We made it through. Ready to get the Harley out and do some riding!! Tired of snow & cold.
We haven't been up to much lately. It's tax time so just hoping for the best there. I've been doing some projects in the basement & Lori has been doing some bumming around. Can only do so many projects inside when you can't go outside. Lori has been doing her stamping & going to her stamping parties. She enjoys it & makes some really nice & cool cards.
Everybody enjoy & will try to add more as things come up.
